Style Process
STEP BY STEP I WILL BE WITH YOU
Pre-Work
You'll fill out an intake questionnaire, share photos of your current wardrobe, send style inspiration images, and provide your measurements. This gives me everything I need to hit the ground running.
The Deep Dive
We meet either in person or on Zoom to get to know each other. I want to understand how you live, how you work, how you play, and how you want to look and feel. We'll talk goals, lifestyle, budget, and the image you want to project — so every decision we make from here is rooted in YOU.
The Style Brief
Using everything gathered from your questionnaire, inspiration images, and our conversation, I build your personalized Style Brief. This includes your Style Mood Board (a visual representation of the style direction), silhouettes, personal style words, and visual language. You'll review and approve it, with one revision included, before anything else moves forward. This is the foundation of our work and going forward a tool you can refer back to to keep you on track.
The Closet Edit
Now that we know exactly where your style is headed, we review what you already own. We identify what stays, what goes, and what gaps need to be filled. Your closet becomes a curated, intentional system — nothing that doesn't belong, everything that does.
The Shop
With your Style Brief approved and budget set, my team and I begin sourcing. We shop online and in person to find pieces that align with your mood board and lifestyle — items chosen for versatility, fit, and longevity. Every piece is selected with purpose.
The Fitting/Tailoring
We meet for an in person fitting at either your location or mine. I will bring my team and the fitting begins. You'll try on the curated pieces and we'll decide together what works and what needs adjusting and create and photograph outfits. We pin as we go and tailoring notes are made. Once finished, you decide what you want to keep and we leave with everything to be custom tailored for the perfect fit.
Altered pieces are returned to you two weeks after the fitting.
The Virtual Closet & Lookbook
Every outfit we build gets photographed, pre-styled, and uploaded to your Virtual Closet App which is accessible from your phone and desktop so you can see your looks anywhere, any time. You'll have outfit recommendations organized by occasion, setting, and lifestyle needs. No more standing in front of your closet wondering what to wear. Or worse yet, getting it wrong.
Ongoing Support
With Private Style, you get a team for 6 weeks, not just a transaction. We're available for calendar styling ahead of key events, on-the-fly outfit questions, and wardrobe additions as your life and goals evolve. Consider us your style team on speed dial.
